The Annual Photo!

Around Christmas and Easter, my family would stand in front of Grandma's House, and pose uncomfortably while trying not to squint, event though the sun was trying it's best to blind us.  Yes, these were the dreaded family portraits.

However, in the past few years, I have tried to reach out of the box, and find cute ideas that will be affordable, and easy impress friends and family.  I pride myself on getting a great backgrounds, big smiles, and all in a reasonable amount of time.  Tara used the picture below to give to all her friends.  They were printed in a small wallet size, and the Christmas message was written on the back.  Perfect for a high schooler to give to her friends, and wish them a wonderful winter break.

Cute ideas like this can be used for any special occasion.  Making graduation announcements, summer portraits, or engagement photos can be quick and easy.

I would love to capture your special moments, if you are interested, please email me at britgru@yahoo.com, or visit bgrubbsphotography.com for details on pricing.  Make sure to reserve your date early!

Happy Mother's Day!

Mother's Day is a very special holiday, and I would like to say "I Love You" to my mother, who is outside getting a tan right now :-).   Mother's day is for not just the mother, but the mother who is also a wife, sister, daughter, housewife, hard worker, and someone to cherish and love.

This photo is of a young couple who live in another town about an hour away from the girl's mother.  She picked another photo from the shoot, (which I will upload shortly) got it framed, and is giving it to her mother for Mother's Day.  I hope she LOVES it!

I just had to post this photo, it is definately my favorite!  Click to enlarge, more coming soon!

Mixin' it Up, Wedding Style

People complain about the "Bridezillas" when it comes to wedding photography, but I think that photos like this make it all worth it.  The black and white really emphasizes that at the end of the day, the bride and groom can forget all the stress from the past year or more, and focus on the simplicity of the moment, and most importantly, each other.  This was an amazing wedding, and I wish I could shoot more just like it.

Even though this blog is devoted to portrait photography, I still like to mix it up once in a while.  Click on the galleries on the right to view some of the photos from my recent portrait sessions, or go to www.bgrubbsphotography.com to view more wedding photos.
